Job summary

The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is seeking a term-contract Corporate Accountant I in the Finance, Accounting Division to maintain continuity of Accounts Payable operations through invoice processing, payment support, account coding review, documentation, and reconciliation.

This entry-level professional position will review supporting records, resolve routine discrepancies, and help manage a high-volume AP workload while ensuring timely and accurate service for

Qualifications

• Accounts Payable experience in a government, public sector, nonprofit, or large organization.
• Experience with Infor/Lawson ERP or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Excel and documentation of payment records.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Processing Support: verify requests, invoices, travel advances, reimbursements, and payments for proper documentation and coding.
• Accounting Review and Documentation: examine records for accuracy, assist with data entry and routine reconciliation.
• Operational Accounts Payable Backfill: provide temporary support during high-volume periods and maintain workload coverage.
