Job summary

Pacific Rubber & Packing in San Carlos, CA is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to own the AP process, manage vendor invoices and payments, and support invoicing across departments. This role expands beyond routine AP tasks to build broader accounting expertise within a collaborative finance team.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting with 2-5 years AP experience, strong Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems and GAAP. Manufacturing or distribution experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-5 years of accounting experience
• Strong Accounts Payable background
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational abilities
• Manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the Accounts Payable Process
• Manage the full lifecycle of vendor invoices and payments while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong vendor relationships
• Support Customer Invoicing with Operations and Customer Success teams
• Contribute to Financial Close with monthly and year-end activities, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and projects
• Make an Impact by strengthening financial controls and improving processes

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

2-5 years accounting experience

Strong Accounts Payable background

Experience with ERP systems

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities

Manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus
