Commercial Real Estate Firm based in Manhattan is looking for a Accounts Payable and Receivable Accountant to join their team as they continue to grow! Phenomenal leadership team offering a growth oriented career path.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end processing of vendor invoices, capital expenditures, utilities, and recurring payments within Yardi Voyager
• Ensure accuracy by matching invoices to contracts or POs and assigning them to the correct GL accounts and property portfolios
• Maintain clean and organized vendor records, collect W-9s, and oversee timely and compliant 1099 filings
• Create and send rent invoices and recurring charges for commercial tenants with precision and timeliness
• Apply payments received through lockbox, wire, and other methods, ensuring accurate and up-to-date tenant ledgers
• Monitor aging reports and partner with property managers to follow up on overdue accounts
• Respond promptly to tenant questions and resolve billing disputes with professionalism and clarity
• Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are accurate
• Conduct account and bank reconciliations, along with variance analysis to support financial accuracy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with a focus on commercial real estate.
• Experience with real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi Voyager) is a plus.
