Job Title: Credit Balance Resolution Representative

Location: REMOTE OR TEXAS

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

***MUST WORK CENTRAL TIME HOURS*** 8:00am - 5:00pm

We are seeking a Credit Balance Resolution Representative in Alpharetta, Georgia to review and resolve credit balances, overpayments, and refund requests on patient and insurance accounts. You will work directly with patients, insurance companies, and other third parties to ensure timely and accurate payment corrections and refunds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and resolve credit balances, overpayments, and refund requests.
• Research insurance benefits and payment coordination.
• Communicate with patients, insurance companies, attorneys, and internal teams.
• Process and issue refunds to patients, insurance companies, and other parties.
• Correct payment applications and transfer payments between accounts.
• Update patient records and account information.
• Ensure work follows company policies, healthcare regulations, and payer guidelines.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare customer service or insurance collections.
• 1+ year of experience working with credit balances and underpayments.
• Strong understanding of billing systems and insurance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience with contract management systems and insurance contracts.
• Knowledge of state regulations for hospital credit balances.
