Job summary

Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority (LCWSA) is seeking an in-person Account Collections Specialist to support the administration team with accounting and customer account functions, including delinquent collections, payment arrangements, and related municipal actions.

Ideal candidates will have an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or business, experience with delinquent collections in a municipal/utility setting, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
• Experience with delinquent account collections preferred, especially in municipal/utility environments.
• Professionalism, positive attitude, strong communication skills, and sound judgment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Review and analyze customer accounts; monitor collection activity; manage delinquent accounts and payment arrangements.
• Coordinate water service shutoffs and process magisterial claims and municipal actions.
