Job summary

Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority (LCWSA) is seeking an in-person, full-time Account Collections Specialist to support the administration team with accounting and customer account functions.

The role includes accounts payable/receivable, month-end close, financial reporting, collections monitoring, and coordinating delinquent accounts and municipal actions. A degree in accounting or related field is required, with preference for delinquent collections experience.

Lycoming County Water and Sewer Authority (LCWSA)

A local provider of water, wastewater, and stormwater services, is seeking applications for an in-person, full-time, benefits-eligible Account Collections Specialist.

The Account Collections Specialist supports the administration team in a variety of accounting and customer account functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end close, and financial reporting. The position also reviews and analyzes customer accounts, monitors collection activity, manages delinquent accounts and payment arrangements, coordinates water service shutoffs, and processes magisterial claims and municipal actions.

Candidates must have an associate or bachelors degree in accounting, business, or a related field. Experience with delinquent account collections, particularly in a municipal or utility environment, is preferred. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, proficient in Microsoft Office, comfortable learning and working with accounting software, and experienced in customer service. Professionalism, a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and sound judgment are essential.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening. A valid drivers license is required.
