Qualifications

• Specialized Experience Statement: GS-08 requires at least one year of specialized experience applying accounting codes/procedures and reconciling routine transactions.
• Specialized Experience Statement: GS-09 requires at least one year independently performing complex accounting-support work, reconciling multi-source cash activity and coordinating resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and record cash receipts, deposits, and related accounting transactions.
• Reconcile cash activity to bank, Treasury, and financial-system records; research discrepancies.
• Apply appropriate accounting codes and maintain supporting documentation and audit-ready records.
• Respond to customer and internal-office inquiries regarding payments, accounts, and transaction status.
• Resolve complex/nonstandard issues and coordinate corrective actions with Finance, Treasury, and other offices.
