Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) in Philadelphia seeks a Senior Accounting Technician to support a large federal agency with accounts payable, reimbursement activity, collections, and account oversight.

The role requires experience with UFMS, JEDI, SAFARI, E-2, and SAMS.gov, plus strong accounting analysis and reporting skills. A two-year accounting degree (or four-year related field) is required; US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust are needed.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in accounting or four-year degree in a related field with 30 credit hours in accounting.
• Knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems used by banking and financial institutions.
• Experience with commitments, obligations, and interagency reimbursement agreements.
• Experience with quarterly review, accrual and closeout process.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide technical support.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and reimbursement activity.
• Process travel in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Prepare financial reports and documentation for DOJ and other agencies.
• Record and retrieve financial data for reimbursable and billing processes.
• Reconcile financial books and reports weekly; generate reports from financial systems.
