To qualify for the GS-08 candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-07 level in the Federal service or private sector applying established accounting codes/procedures; reconciling routine transactions; AND researching/correcting recurring discrepancies.
To qualify for the GS-09 candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-08 level in the Federal service or private sector independently performing complex accounting-support work; reconciling multi-source cash activity; resolving nonstandard discrepancies/corrections, applying accounting policies/controls, and coordinating resolution of issues with internal offices/customers.
