Job summary

ISU Research Park seeks an Accounting Specialist I to provide basic support to the accounting team. You will assist with simple financial tasks, data entry, and invoice processing.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years of general office or basic accounting experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The position may be full-time or part-time and is based in Des Moines, Iowa.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related experience considered.
• 2+ years of general office or basic accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support the team in invoice creation and distribution to customers
• Research customer discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries
• Assist with basic data entry for accounts receivable
• Perform office tasks such as scanning and copying
• Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
• Other duties as assigned
