Job summary

Bogg Bag, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Supervisor in New York, NY to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure financial records meet US GAAP standards.

You will prepare statements, strengthen internal controls, and partner with other departments to scale the business with automation initiatives. The role involves supervising AP/AR staff, managing month-end close, and delivering accurate reports and KPIs.

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience managing AP/AR staff and functions required.
• Experience with inventory reconciliation and standard costing required.
• Experience in a multi-channel consumer products business (wholesale & ecommerce preferred).
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Blue Cherry ERP and/or Ramp a plus.
• Strong Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP/AR staff and ensure timely vendor payments and customer collections.
• Lead month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations and gross margin analysis.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on company-wide projects and initiatives.
• Prepare financial statements, KPI reports and close-pack for leadership.
• Explore automation and AI tooling to improve accounting efficiency.
