Lewis Tree Service is hiring an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, mentor junior staff, and lead the close cycles in a hybrid environment in West Henrietta, NY. The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, internal controls, and collaboration with Controllers and Operations to deliver accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and 4–6 years of accounting experience, with CPA preferred. Competitive pay and ESOP are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–6 years accounting experience, including lead technical role.
• GAAP knowledge and strong internal controls experience.
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and analyses.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and relevant business systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
• Manage journal entries, reconciliations, and close processes.
• Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Coordinate with Controller and Operations on estimates and reporting.
• Develop profitability analyses and identify financial risks/opportunities.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and assist with year-end audit.
