Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is a leading North American vegetation-management company and employee-owned. We seek an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure GAAP compliance.

You will lead journal entries, reconciliations, and close cycles while developing cost accounting insights. With an ESOP, competitive pay, and opportunities to improve processes, you’ll collaborate with Controllers and Operations to deliver accurate financial reporting and strategic performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Strong understanding of project and cost accounting methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations to ensure records are accurate and GAAP-compliant.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff with feedback and coaching.
• Ensure journal entries and reconciliations are completed on schedule.
• Lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Develop profitability analyses and cost accounting insights.
