Chugach Electric Association is seeking a qualified accounting leader to supervise daily accounting activities, ensure GAAP adherence, and coordinate month-end close processes. The role includes training staff, overseeing reconciliations, and supporting audits and regulatory reporting.

Ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting with team leadership experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Certified Public Accountant license preferred.
• Minimum three years of progressively responsible accounting experience including team leadership.

Responsabilités

• Supervise daily accounting activities to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close tasks.
• Review journal entries and AP, payroll, and other transactions for accuracy.
• Provide training and coaching to accounting staff; mentor and develop team.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Ensure internal controls and risk management practices are followed.
