Job summary

Kanner & Pintaluga, a Florida law firm, seeks an Accounting Supervisor to oversee recording and reviewing financial transactions and to help prepare accurate financial reports. The role includes training and supervising accounts payable/receivable staff, reviewing ledgers and statements, and producing monthly, quarterly and year-end journal entries.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least six years of experience, GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and Sage Intacct; strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and GAAP knowledge.
• Minimum of six years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proficient with full cycle accounting software (Sage Intacct) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Train and supervise accounts payable/receivable staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide staff with ongoing constructive feedback via performance reviews.
• Review general ledger balance sheet schedules and financial statements for accuracy.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end journal entries.
• Gather reports for external auditors and assist in financial reporting.
• Identify and suggest improvements to accounting procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
