Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Senior Accountant in Jacksonville, FL to handle general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and related accounting duties. The role supports financial reporting and ad hoc projects as needed, including unclaimed property tracking.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting or audit, a Bachelor's in Accounting, and strong Excel skills with effective communication. CPA status or progress is preferred; Oracle EBS and BlackLine experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; education/experience equivalent.
• CPA certification or progress toward certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in accounting or audit role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities with multiple priorities in fast-paced env.
• Ability to work independently with limited oversight.
• Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) General Ledger is a plus.
• Familiarity with BlackLine or similar account reconciliation tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Support broader accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.
• Assist with tracking and follow-up of unclaimed property items.
