Job summary

Career Team is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for its Greater Dallas area onsite role. You will lead the accounting staff, ensure GAAP-compliant reporting, and manage project budgets and forecasts while interfacing with senior leadership.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in accounting, a bachelor's in accounting/finance, and strong Excel and software skills (QuickBooks, Adaptive Workday, Expensify).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and ability to reconcile complex balances.
• Experience with budgeting/forecasting across multiple funding streams preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Adaptive Workday, Expensify).
• Strong communication, leadership, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee invoicing, analyses, and reporting for multiple projects.
• Lead journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly close with GAAP compliance.
• Develop streamlined accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with WIOA, local/state policies and reporting.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and working capital; liaise with senior leadership.
• Coordinate project accounting activities and contract procedures.
• Oversee payroll analytics, vendor invoices, and grant-related costs.
