Job summary

Unified Global seeks an experienced accounting professional to supervise junior staff and manage month-end and year-end close processes. You will prepare and review financial statements in line with IFRS/US GAAP, ensure accurate reconciliations, and assist with budgets and audits.

• CPA strongly preferred.
• 4–6 years progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in supervision.

• Solid knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Strong accounting processes, audit procedures, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Excel.
• Excellent organization, communication, and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Supervise and review the work of junior accountants, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls
• Oversee general ledger activities including month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with IFRS/US GAAP
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of accounts (e.g., bank, intercompany, accruals)
• Coordinate external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring audit requirements are met
• Apply audit and assurance methodologies in reviewing internal financial data and controls, drawing from prior external audit experience
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Recommend process improvements and assist in the implementation of financial systems and policies
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax regulations and accounting standards
• Support special projects, including financial due diligence, internal audits, or ERP implementations

Qualifications:

• CPA strongly preferred
• At least 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Previous experience in a Big 4 or public accounting firm is required
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, audit procedures, and internal controls
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
