Job summary

Embassy Suites Seattle-Tacoma Airport is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee AP, revenue reconciliations and general ledger posting, working closely with the director of finance, controller and department heads.

This role requires strong accounting skills, familiarity with PMS and accounting software, and the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable.
• Perform daily revenue and cash reconciliations.
• Post daily revenues (hotel, F&B) to the general ledger.
• Review and issue weekly AP invoices and payments.
• Maintain accounting records and reports.
• Maintain summary of maintenance contracts and leases.
• Handle special projects as directed by management.

The Accounting Supervisor will perform accounting-related duties and work closely with the director of finance, controller or assistant controller, as well as the department heads to achieve organizational goals.

Duties Essential Functions:

• Accounts payable
• processing, daily revenue and cash reconciliations and other related finance projects.
• Daily review of all revenues (hotel, food and beverage, etc.) and post in the general ledger.
• Weekly accounts payable invoice, payment processing and review.
• Maintain accounting records and compile reports.
• Maintain summary of maintenance contracts and leases.

Additional Job Duties: Special projects as assigned by management or ownership.

Job Requirements

Required:

• Able to work flexible hours and extended shifts as required and to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work with mathematical and accounting concepts.
• Strong interpersonal, problem solving and planning skills.
• Able to carry out tasks independently and accurately.
• Ability to manage time and energies in an efficient, effective and organized manner.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiar with internet page browsing and conducting a complete internetresearch.
• Ability to maintain strict adherence to confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to operate phones, calculator, computer equipment, fax machines, copiers and printers.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from accredited four-year college or university.
• Accounts payable experience, basic understanding of a chart of accounts, and revenue recognition
• Experience with accounting software and PMS software.
• Daily review of all revenues (hotel, food and beverage, etc.) and post in the general ledger
