Job summary

Pacific Rim Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations in a construction environment.

This role supervises accounting staff, coordinates payroll, and monitors project costs and job costing while supporting management with budgeting and financial analysis. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years supervisory experience are required; CPA/CMA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of job costing; capable of overseeing cost tracking.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations and accounting staff.
• Review AP/AR, payroll, and GL transactions.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Monitor project costs, job costing, and construction-related expenses.
• Coordinate with project managers on billing, budgets, and cost tracking.
• Assist during audits and with budgeting/forecasting.
• Train and guide accounting staff as needed.

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to join our growing team.

Position Overview

Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with company policies, and timely processing of accounting transactions. This position supervises accounting staff and supports management with financial analysis, budgeting, payroll coordination, and project cost monitoring within a construction environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Supervise and monitor daily accounting operations and accounting staff.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger transactions;
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and reconciliations;
• Monitor project costs, job costing, and construction-related expenses;
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and government regulations;
• Coordinate with project managers regarding project billing, budgets, and cost tracking;
• Assist during internal and external audits;
• Review timesheets, invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments;
• Maintain accurate accounting records and filing systems;
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities;
• Train and guide accounting staff as needed;

• Perform other accounting and administrative duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory or accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of job costing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience in the construction industry
