Job summary

ICOP seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and support month-end and year-end close for multiple construction entities. The role emphasizes job cost reporting, GL accuracy, and mentoring staff in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have construction accounting knowledge, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with Project Managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Experience supervising accounting staff and coordinating audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure transaction accuracy.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and schedules.
• Prepare expense accruals and review reconciliations.
• Oversee job cost accounting and project cost tracking.
• Mentor and supervise staff, including junior accountants.
• Coordinate with project managers for accurate project reporting.
• Assist with audits, tax support, and compliance reporting.

Position Summary

ICOP seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our growing construction company. This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting for multiple construction entities. The ideal candidate will have strong construction accounting knowledge, experience with job cost reporting, and the ability to manage and mentor accounting staff in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close for the company
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all transactions
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
• Prepare monthly expense accruals and review account reconciliations
• Oversee job cost accounting and maintain project cost tracking within Foundation
• Manage and update royalty reporting to technology lessor
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including the Staff Accountant and Accounting Assistant
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations teams to ensure accurate project financial reporting
• Assist with annual audits, tax preparation support, and compliance reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry
• Strong understanding of:

• Percentage-of-completion accounting
• WIP reporting
• Experience supervising accounting staff
• Knowledge of audit preparation and external auditor coordination
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
