Position Summary

As a member of the Accounting Operations function, you will play a critical role in implementing financial controls over fixed assets and capital spending for Nestlé, including managing, and maintaining fixed assets policies and procedures. In addition, this position is responsible for controlling and maintaining the Fixed Asset Sub-ledger within GLOBE SAP. The position supervises the day to day activities of the Fixed Asset Analysts to ensure that processes and procedures follow Nestle Accounting Standards. It identifies areas for change and makes recommendations while managing multiple demands and competing priorities. The supervisor interacts with cross-functional teams throughout the organization. Supports Divisional and Corporate management by providing timely, accurate and relevant financial information to guide management in decision making. Reviews fixed assets transactions in SAP in a timely manner. Reviews reports prepared by analysts, to ensure integrity of data. Ensures proper and timely capitalization in compliance with Nestlé Accounting Standards Manages relationships and service level agreements with NBS Manila and CoC Leasing, Barcelona. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the Fixed Assets accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
  • Enforce the Fixed Assets Policy and ensure compliance with Nestle Accounting Standards (NAS)
  • Develop and maintain Fixed Assets accounting standard operating procedures, guidelines, and controls to ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements
  • Lead the Fixed Asset physical inventory process in accordance with Nestle accounting standards. Ensure that the fixed assets inventories are preformed, reconciled, and action items are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure Fixed Assets transactions are recorded accurately for acquisition, mergers, and divestitures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
  • Continuously evaluate and improve automated processes to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Review financial statements and roll forward schedules related to Fixed Assets transactions for internal and external reporting quarterly
  • Responsible for escalation management to ensure timely resolution, and to drive down Key risk indicators
  • Conduct yearly performance evaluations, set performance goals, and provide feedback and coaching to team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Master’s Degree, CPA or other relevant certifications are preferred
  • Proven experience of minimum 4+ years in managing accounting operations, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is a plus
  • Proven ability to leverage performance, development, and talent to build people capabilities
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the ability to inspire others to deliver exceptional results
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
