Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the General Ledger department. Responsible for maintaining, reconciling & analyzing payroll related general ledger accounts for the Accounting Department. This role will prepare and provide payroll-related financial information and analyses. Reconciles payroll bank accounts and accrued payroll and tax accounts, while maintaining the payroll-to-general ledger system applications and programs. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with 4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements: CPA Preferred.
Management/Decision Making: Uses limited independent judgment to make decisions based on precedents and established guidelines. Solves problems using standard procedures and precedents. Knows when to refer issues to supervisor and when to handle them personally.
Knowledge and Skills: Has a working knowledge of a skill or discipline that requires basic analytic ability. Has an overall understanding of the work environment and process. Has working knowledge of the organization. SOX knowledge and solid understanding of GAAP. Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably PeopleSoft. Critical thinker with strong attention to detail.
