Job summary

PCL’s Nassal/nFusion office in Orlando is seeking a Production Student. You will review work orders, update inventory deliverables, and assist in cost projections while tracking project schedules.

This full‑time summer internship runs May through August, with responsibilities across fabrication and documentation in a team‑driven environment. You’ll develop skills in fabrication drawings, scheduling, and OSHA basics, while working under standard safety and quality practices.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, plus organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate with MS Office and other construction industry software.
  • Basic knowledge of fabrication drawings, HSE, quality, and standards per discipline.
  • Basic understanding of project schedules and critical path.
  • Basic understanding of productivity rates.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of material, labor, and equipment takeoffs.
  • Authorized to work in the US.
  • 18 years or older and possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August.
  • Employment with PCL contingent upon passing a substance abuse test.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with reviewing work orders and shop drawings to ensure necessary information is provided for fabrication.
  • Assists with updating the list of deliverables within Inventory Management software and provides tags to foremen.
  • Assists with cost projections during production reviews for the scope of work.
  • Performs daily tracking of project schedules.
  • Determines trackable production units for the specific scope of work.
  • Assists with routine checks of items, ensuring proper documentation and saving documents in Work Order folders.
  • Models the solution provider and profitability culture.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) and other construction industry-related software.
  • Basic knowledge of fabrication drawings and specifications, project health, safety, and environment(HSE), quality, and required standards as per discipline.
  • Basic understanding of project schedules and ability toidentify the critical path.
  • Basic understanding of productivity rates.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of material, labor, and equipmenttakeoffs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License.
  • Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August.
  • Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
