Job summary

Nassal/nFusion, part of the PCL family, invites a motivated Estimating Student to Orlando, FL for a May–August program. You’ll support the lead estimator with quantity takeoffs, bid day work, subcontractor coordination, and site visits, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, construction-focused environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing related degrees, can read drawings, and communicate effectively with project teams and suppliers. Employment is contingent on a background check.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Desire a career in construction, Project Management, Field Supervision, or Estimating.
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other software.
• Must be authorized to work in the US and available to work in Orlando, FL full-time from May to August.

Responsibilities

• Review and perform quantity survey assignments with lead estimator.
• Bid document control.
• Performs bid day assignments.
• Sub-trade bid reviews and recapping.
• Visits job sites periodically.
• Use of in-house estimating software (BEST Estimating).
• Develops relationships with subcontractors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an associate’s or bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting & Estimating Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Any experience using the following: On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Excel and Word, Revit, Acrobat, and other computer software.
• Required to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with project personnel, suppliers, subcontractors, and owners.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, and perform quantity take-offs.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August.
• Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party.
