Job summary

Nassal/nFusion, part of the PCL family, is seeking a Fabrication Student for our Orlando, FL office. This full-time internship provides hands-on experience in fabrication, reviewing work orders, and supporting cost projections.

You will work with engineering and shop teams, update inventory records, and communicate with stakeholders while developing core skills for a construction career. This position runs May–August and requires enrollment in an engineering or construction program and US work

Qualifications

• Candidates pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication, plus organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction industry software.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations; must be authorized to work in the US; 18+ with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing work orders and shop drawings to ensure fabrication information is complete.
• Help update the inventory management system and provide tags to foremen.
• Support cost projections during production reviews.
• Help determine trackable production units for the scope of work.
• Document items per specifications and save documents in Work Order folders.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Here’s how a(n) Fabrication Student for our Nassal office contributes to our team:

• Assists with reviewing work orders and shop drawings to ensure the necessary information is provided for fabrication.


• Assists with updating the list of deliverables within the Inventory Management software system and provide tags to the respective foremen.


• Assists with cost projections during production reviews for the scope of work.


• Assists with determining trackable production units for the specific scope of work.


• Assists with routine checks of items to ensure they are documented as per the Specifications and saves all necessary documents within the Work Order folders as needed.


• Effectively communicates with internal and external stakeholders, as required.


• Values and models, the solution provider, and profitability culture.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline preferred.


• The successful candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and interpersonal skills.


• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) and other construction industry-related software.


• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.


• Must be authorized to work in the US.


• 18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License.


• Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August.
