Job summary

Thurston Mason Behavioral Health Administrative Organization (TMBH-ASO) and Olympic Health and Recovery Services (OHRS) is seeking an Accounting Specialist I in Washington state. The role focuses on accounts payable while coordinating with program staff, management, and vendors to ensure timely, accurate financial processing.

Ideal candidates have two years of college accounting courses and at least two years of general accounting experience, with strong MS Office and 10-key skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of college accounting courses completed.
• Two years of general accounting experience.
• Typing and 10-key adding machine skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Conducts accounting functions primarily with accounts payable.
• Process staff requisition requests for client services.
• Enter and track payments for rent and client support services.
• Reconcile entries for accuracy and proper coding.
• Prepare financial reports requiring governmental accounting knowledge.
• Track and reconcile credit card requisitions and receipts.
• Set up new vendors and determine 1099 requirements.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and coordinate adjustments.
• Provide policy and procedure recommendations for accounting systems.
• Assist with payroll processing and employee reimbursements.
