Sukup Manufacturing Co. is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage a broad range of accounting functions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

You will handle general ledger activities, month‑end close, reconciliations, inventory and COGS accounting, taxes, supplier payments, and intercompany transactions while supporting ERP initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–4 years progressive accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation/review.
• Independently perform month-end close activities and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting and month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and review financial statements, and research discrepancies from source documents.
• Perform inventory and COGS accounting, vendor credits, rebates, and intercompany transactions.
• Process supplier payments and maintain supporting documentation.
• Coordinate sales and use tax filings and maintain exemption documentation.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
