Job summary

The Personnel Consulting Group in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our on-site finance team. You will own day-to-day transactional workflows within the Vista accounting system, including credit card reconciliations, vendor disbursements, customer billing, and credit evaluations.

Maintain proper coding and timely posting to the general ledger. Key tasks include reviewing cardholder transactions for policy compliance, processing vendor invoices, managing W-9s and COIs,

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of practical accounting experience, including AP/AR and reconciliations.
• Solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles and internal controls.
• Proficient Excel skills for data sorting, formulas, and reconciliation worksheets.

Responsibilities

• Credit card management: review transactions, obtain receipts, and reconcile to GL.
• Accounts payable: process invoices, resolve discrepancies, maintain vendor records.
• Accounts receivable & credit: vet applications, apply payments, monitor AR aging.
• General ledger & reconciliations: post journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications; monthly reconciliations.
• Close & audit support: assist with month-end/year-end close and audit requests.
