Job summary

Fulcrum Construction is seeking an Accounting Specialist to provide accounts payable processing and administrative support for the corporate accounting group in Atlanta.

Responsibilities include managing the full cycle of overhead allocation and timely payments, vendor communications, W-9s and 1099s, and coordination with the Controller and CFO. This position offers growth into additional accounting roles as you develop and take on more responsibility.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in AR or AP cycle or a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge.
• Capability to self-manage with minimal supervision.
• Ability to investigate, analyze, and solve accounting problems.
• Good communication skills to relay information to internal and external parties.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (mainly Excel).
• Experience with Timberline/Sage preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit and process invoices into the accounting system, confirm/seek appropriate approvals & process payments on a regular schedule
• Ensure promptness of payments in accordance with contract terms, including mailing of checks.
• Request, verify and maintain appropriate documentation from vendors
• Obtain and enter W-9 information (Certificate of Insurance) in AP system and process 1099 reporting
• Enter invoices in Timberscan
• Keep management informed regarding any ongoing issues with vendors
• Process Expense Reports
• Manage the corporate credit card program, processing weekly & monthly statements; Assemble and provide AIA billings and enter billings with required backup into client portals
• Keep Project Managers/Management informed regarding any ongoing issues with Subs/Vendors
• Distribute job cost reports to internal personnel as needed
• Enter job cost corrections as directed
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
