Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable on daily basis.
• Process payments by ACH, wire, check, and credit card.
• Receive, process, and reconcile credit card statements.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures.
• Scan and maintain ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices.
• Verify and submit customer invoices for shipped orders.
• Support vendors and supply chain payments and administration.
• Assist with consumer and property tax filings.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.

Accounting Specialist

Salary Range: $23.00 To $30.00 Annually

We are looking for a motivated Accounting Specialist to join our team at the Williamsburg, VA site:

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting within the organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable on daily basis
• Process incoming and outgoing payments by ACH, wire, check, credit card
• Receive, process, and reconcile credit card statements
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
• Scan and maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
• Verify, prepare, and submit customer invoices for shipped orders
• Help supply chain team with the payment and administration of vendors
• Assist with consumer tax and property tax filings
• Assist in month-end closing procedures (e.g., reconciliations, prepaid amortization, adjusting entries)
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Preferred: Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Preferred: 1-3 years of experience working with accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience interfacing with all levels of an organization
• Self-motivated and self-directed with strong attention to detail
• Preferred: Working knowledge of ERP Systems and proficient in MS Office
• Effective time management skills with ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
