Job summary

Paragon Professional Solutions is seeking an A/P Specialist for a Northwest Houston - Tomball in-house role. You will process accounts payable and incoming payments, ensure compliance with policies, and handle day-to-day financial transactions.

Requirements include a high school diploma, accounts payable experience, and QuickBooks proficiency. The position is full-time with benefits and located at a growing construction client in the Houston area.

Qualifications

• General understanding of accounts payable processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts and incoming payments in line with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
• Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
• Prepare invoices to be sent to customers via preferred methods.
• Communicate with management on problem accounts.
• Work with sales leadership to resolve payment concerns.
• Maintain customer information and apply payments to accounts.
• Initiate collections on delinquent accounts.
• Assist with additional accounting duties as assigned.

The A/P Specialist is responsible for the

• Processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
• Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits
• Preparing invoices to be sent to customers via preferred methods
• Communicate with management on problem accounts
• Work with sales leadership to facilitate the resolution of payment concerns
• Maintain customer information
• Apply payments to accounts
• Initiate collections on delinquent accounts
• Other accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN NORTHWEST HOUSTON - TOMBALL
Understanding of general accounting mathematics.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Education / Experience:

• A high school diploma is required

• QuickBooks experience is required - THIS IS A MUST
