- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (in a professional services, engineering, surveying, construction, or consulting environment)
- Experience with Deltek accounting and billing modules (VERY important)
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

DAY TO DAY:
- Prepare, process, and distribute client invoices in accordance with project and company requirements.
- Review invoices for accuracy, proper project coding, billing information, and supporting documentation.
- Process and pay company vendor invoices and ensure payments are made accurately and on schedule.
- Assist the Controller with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Assist with reconciling vendor invoices, customer accounts, bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records.
- Review account activity and investigate discrepancies or unusual transactions.
- Assist with monthly accounting close and related reporting activities.
- Enter and update accounting information in Deltek Vantagepoint.
- Assist project managers and other staff with billing and accounting-related questions.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections and follow-up as needed.
