Aspire Health Partners is seeking an Accounting Specialist in Florida to process invoices and payment requests in accordance with Finance Department standards. The role involves matching invoices to PO and receiving docs, ensuring proper authorization, and coding expenses to the correct GL accounts.

You will prepare checks, maintain AP files, and assist with month-end close and reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and adherence to policy are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Level II background clearance required for Aspire internships and careers.
• Acceptable motor vehicle registration driver's license as per Aspire insurance policy.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Ensure proper authorization for payment.
• Code expenses to the correct general ledger accounts.
• Prepare checks for mailing with remittance advices.
• Document and file AP in vendor records.
• Perform month-end close procedures and balance to GL.
• Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure timely payment to avoid late fees while upholding ethical standards.

Job Purpose: As Accounting Specialist at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to process invoices and check requests as approved by the Finance Department standards.

Job Functions

• Matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Insure proper authorization for payment
• Code expenses to the appropriate general ledger account number
• Prepares checks for mailing attaching remittance advices
• Other documentation when necessary
• Voucher package and file in AP vendor file
• Perform month end closing procedures, review of AP distribution report, balancing of detail to the general ledger control account and preparation of manual accruals
• Reconciliation of monthly vendor statements
• Timely follow up and resolution of discrepancies and track incoming invoices for timely payment to avoid conflict or late fees
• Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Position qualifications: Ability to receive and maintain a(n)
