Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable Management: Oversee vendor invoices, payment processing, statement reconciliations, and vendor communications while ensuring accurate and timely payments.
• General Accounting: Perform bank, credit card, general ledger, and intercompany reconciliations; prepare journal entries and support month-end and year-end closing.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Review financial statements, investigate discrepancies and variances, and assist with reporting, audits, and financial analysis.
• Process Improvement & Technology: Use accounting software, Excel, AI tools, and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.

Key Requirements

• Accounting Experience: Proven experience in accounts payable and general accounting, with a solid understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Technical Skills: Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems; experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to independently investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and identify opportunities to improve processes.
• Organization & Adaptability: Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage multiple deadlines; familiarity with AI tools and automation is important. An accounting degree is a plus but not required.
