Job summary

Vika Maryland, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our Maryland offices. You will manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, process invoices, assist with closings, and support collections with attention to detail and deadlines.

The ideal candidate holds an AA degree in Accounting or Finance, has at least 3 years of accounting experience, and is proficient with Deltek Vision (Advantage/Vision/Vantagepoint). We offer comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision software, preferably Advantage, Vision or Vantagepoint.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly invoices for clients in Vantagepoint, based on markups from project managers.
• Updating client and project information in Vantagepoint.
• Assisting with collections including managing client invoicing portals and procedures.
• Process accounts payable invoices.
• Cash Receipt coordination to apply to VIKA invoices.
• Managing Certificate of Insurance Release of Liens requests from clients.
• Assisting accounting team in preparing spreadsheets, account statements and reports for monthly invoicing.
• Assisting accounting team in the preparation of monthly and yearly closings.
• Assist with other accounting projects, as assigned.
• Other duties, as assigned

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and reliable self-starter with strong attention to detail and numbers. Must have excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities in order to meet critical deadlines. Must be able to demonstrate trustworthiness and discretion to handle confidential information with precision. This position manages the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions for the two Maryland offices and will interact with other offices’ accounting staff.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.
