Job summary

VIKA Maryland, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our staff. The role oversees accounts receivable and accounts payable for two Maryland offices and interfaces with other offices' accounting staff.

The ideal candidate has an AA degree in accounting or finance and at least 3 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in Deltek Vision (Advantage/Vision/Vantagepoint). The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and strong potential for advancement.

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision software (Advantage/Vision/Vantagepoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly invoices for clients in Vantagepoint, based on markups from project managers.
• Updating client and project information in Vantagepoint.
• Assisting with collections including managing client invoicing portals and procedures.
• Process accounts payable invoices.
• Cash Receipt coordination to apply to VIKA invoices.
• Managing Certificate of Insurance Release of Liens requests from clients.
• Assisting accounting team in preparing spreadsheets, account statements and reports for monthly invoicing.
• Assisting accounting team in the preparation of monthly and yearly closings.
• Assist with other accounting projects, as assigned.
• Other duties, as assigned

Must have excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities in order to meet critical deadlines. Must be able to demonstrate trustworthiness and discretion to handle confidential information with precision. This position manages the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions for the two Maryland offices and will interact with other offices' accounting staff.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.
