Vika Maryland, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our staff in Maryland. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with strong attention to detail and numbers, able to meet critical deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.

The role manages accounts receivable and accounts payable for two Maryland offices and collaborates with other offices’ accounting staff.

Qualifications

• AA degree in accounting or finance.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vision software (Advantage, Vision, or Vantagepoint).

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly invoices for clients in Vantagepoint based on project managers' markups.
• Update client and project information in Vantagepoint.
• Assist with collections and manage client invoicing portals.
• Process accounts payable invoices.
• Coordinate cash receipts to apply to VIKA invoices.
• Manage Certificate of Insurance Release of Liens requests from clients.
• Assist with monthly invoicing spreadsheets, account statements and reports.
• Assist with monthly and yearly closings; support other accounting projects as assigned.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated and reliable self-starter with strong attention to detail and numbers. Must have excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities in order to meet critical deadlines. Must be able to demonstrate trustworthiness and discretion to handle confidential information with precision. This position manages the accounts receivable and accounts payable functions for the two Maryland offices and will interact with other offices’ accounting staff.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, in accordance with applicable law.
