Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Downey, CA, supporting a manufacturing environment with operational, production, and accounting activity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end support. The Accounting Specialist will work closely with accounting, operations, purchasing, and production teams to help maintain accurate financial records and support day-to-day business needs. Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
• Reconcile vendor statements, customer accounts, bank activity, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting support.
• Review invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents, and related manufacturing cost information.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay range: $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and general accounting functions.
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and accounting reports.
• Review and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, vendor statements, and customer account activity.
• Partner with accounting and operations teams to maintain accurate financial records.
• 6 to 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment.
• Strong working knowledge of AP, AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger support.
• Ability to review detailed financial documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail, reliability, professionalism, and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting accounting functions in manufacturing, moldmaking, casting, production, or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with inventory, job costing, cost accounting, or production-related financial reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems or manufacturing accounting platforms.
• Prior temp-to-hire or fast-paced staffing environment experience.
