AppleOne Employment Services is hiring an experienced Accounting Specialist in Escondido, CA to support AP/AR functions. The role partners with administration, sales, and service teams to ensure accurate financial operations in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers a direct hire arrangement with a schedule Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience with AP/AR.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or another ERP accounting system.
• Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activity, including invoices, payments, receipts, reconciliations, and account research.
• Process customer purchase orders from receipt through shipment and prepare accurate invoices, estimates, PO docs, and shipping paperwork.
• Apply customer payments, process bank deposits, reconcile AR accounts, and ensure payments are posted accurately.
• Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, PO, and account discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor outstanding balances, assist with collections, and communicate with customers regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
• Support sales tax reporting, paperless accounting documentation, and general accounting/admin needs.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions for a growing global manufacturing organization in Escondido, CA. Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activity, including invoices, payments, receipts, reconciliations, and account research.
• Process customer purchase orders from receipt through shipment and prepare accurate invoices, estimates, purchase order documentation, and shipping paperwork.
• Apply customer payments, process bank deposits, reconcile AR accounts, and ensure payments are posted accurately.
• Investigate and resolve invoice, payment, purchase order, and account discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor outstanding balances, assist with collections, and communicate with customers regarding invoices, payments, and account status.
• Support sales tax reporting, paperless accounting documentation, and general accounting and administrative needs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $25 to $27 per hour, depending on experience.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• Job Type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 3+ years of recent Accounting Clerk, Accounting Specialist, AP/AR, or similar accounting experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Experience processing purchase orders, customer invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or another ERP or accounting system required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Basic understanding of payroll, taxes, and general accounting functions.
• Strong reconciliation, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional customer service and phone etiquette.
• Stable employment history required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience working in a paperless accounting environment.
• Experience supporting multi-state sales tax reporting.
