Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Accounting Product Manager to drive planning, execution, and delivery of accounting systems and automation within its Finance organization. The role blends product management with hands-on accounting knowledge to translate complex requirements into scalable systems and workflows.

You will own end-to-end delivery across month-end close acceleration, reconciliation automation, revenue recognition, intercompany mechanics, and financial-data integrations, partnering with

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience as a product manager or owner.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
• Experience with end to end product delivery.
• Experience owning technology products.
• Accounting domain experience — close, journals, reconciliations, GL processes.
• Strong analytical skills — SQL, data analysis, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Close Acceleration & Process Automation: manage month-end close acceleration and reduce manual processes.
• Define automation scope and build-or-buy decisions (in-house, BI pipeline, or third‑party like BlackLine).
• Drive requirements for reconciliation automation, journal-entry workflows, and auditable outputs.
• Collaborate with BI on metrics and data definitions across systems.
• Own product delivery of accounting-system integrations and financial-data feeds.
• Define accounting metadata for accurate downstream reporting.
• Ensure integrations are scalable and well-documented.
