Job summary

Protolabs in Maple Plain, MN seeks a Manager of Accounting Operations to lead Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, invoicing, and credit and collections while driving overall finance operations.

Candidates should bring 5+ years of finance leadership and 4+ years in accounting, with ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics) and strong MS Office skills. This fixed-hybrid role offers a generous benefits package and salary range below.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of finance leadership experience, preferably managing employees directly.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide Accounts Payable leadership and support including researching and resolving issues related to accounts payable transactions; processing and reviewing vendor invoices and payments; responding quickly and effectively to both internal and external accounts payable inquiries; assisting with updating and maintaining vendor data; reviewing and approving weekly vendor payable report for accuracy and eligibility for payment run
• Provide Accounts Receivable leadership and support including ensuring team meets or exceeds cash collection targets; communicating with customers to ensure timely payment of invoices; managing customer escalations; forecasting monthly and quarterly bad debt reserve balances; ensuring audit requests are fulfilled and documented accordingly, managing A/R credit/debit memos
• Oversee customer invoicing activities and ensuring invoices are sent to customers timely to maximize sales and meet deadlines for daily reporting
• Provide Credit & Collections leadership and support including all collections calls; analysis and review of financial information on new and existing customers to maximize sales and limit risk of bad debt; monitoring customer credit and ship holds; maintaining DSO under 45 days; preparing accounts to be sent to third party collection agency and improving cash flow
• Manage a team of employees including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Credit & Collections; ensure SOX policies and procedures are fulfilled and documented; assist with month end closing; conduct performance reviews; drive process improvements; lead projects to improve systems and processes; produce weekly financial updates
