Job summary

CSL Consulting is seeking an Accounting Manager in the Boston area to lead AP, AR, GL, and payroll operations within a private-equity-backed professional services firm. You will own close processes, drive automation, and partner with leadership on financial reporting, while mentoring junior staff and supporting acquisition integration.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Big 4 public accounting or equivalent professional services background.
• Hands-on expertise in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger accounting.
• Month-end and year-end close process participation and support.
• Payroll accounting experience – including processing, reconciliation, tax compliance, and payroll-to-GL accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and audit-ready mindset.
• Experience with Deltek a plus.
• Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Growth mindset and leadership potential – ready to step into a manager role with mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP processes and vendor management, including discrepancy resolution.
• Lead AR operations, billing accuracy, and collections.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities and GAAP compliance.
• Oversee payroll processing and BambooHR payroll-to-GL accounting.
• Drive ERP transition to Deltek and process automation initiatives.
• Support M&A integration and post-acquisition consolidation.
