Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an Accounting Operational Manager to oversee daily financial transactions, including payroll, AP, and AR, while leading accounting staff and driving automation for timely close cycles and compliance.

Responsibilities include managing AP and payroll, GL and cost accounting, monthly close, and implementing policies to improve accuracy and efficiency across US and international operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience included.
• Experience with GAAP and accounting software.
• Must have ADP system experience, as well as 1099 filing experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AP function including vendor setup, reconciling credit cards, and 1099s.
• Oversee Payroll including time sheets, deductions, W-2s/W-3s, payroll taxes.
• Responsible for general ledger, AP, and cost accounting.
• Part of monthly closing process and posting month end information.
• Ensure accuracy of AP and Payroll data for financial statements.
• Develop and maintain systems, procedures and policies for AP, AR and Payroll.
• Enter status changes to keep employee data up to date.
• Liaise with government and external accountants for information needs.
• Prepare and recommend operating and personnel budgets.
