Job summary

Frequency Electronics, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day financial transactions, payroll, AP, and AR, directing staff and driving automation for accurate monthly closes and regulatory compliance.

The role covers US and international payroll, vendor management, and liaison with external accountants, with a focus on process improvement and policy development. This is a full-time position based in New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of accounting experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with GAAP and accounting software.
• ADP system experience and 1099 filing experience.
• Strong PC and business software skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to balance and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Accounts Payable including vendor setup, payments, and reconciliations.
• Manage Payroll for US and international operations and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee general ledger and cost accounting duties.
• Participate in monthly closing and reporting.
• Ensure AP/Payroll data accuracy in financial statements.
• Develop, implement, and maintain AP/AR/Payroll policies.
• Liaise with government and external accountants as needed.
• Prepare operating and personnel budgets for approval.
