Job summary

CarMax is seeking a highly skilled professional to support the Accounting Operations Business Support & Analytics function at the CarMax Home Office in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on optimizing accounting processes, building AI-enabled automation, and delivering analytics-driven insights to leadership and partners.

You will work onsite at the Richmond Home Office, collaborating with Accounting, Finance, Technology, and Compliance teams to implement scalable, data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or analytics.
• 5+ years in accounting/finance, analytics, or automation.
• Experience with Alteryx, RPA, Python, Power Platform or similar.
• Experience with AI or ML in business processes preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and optimize accounting operations processes with automation.
• Design, develop, and support AI-enabled automation solutions.
• Utilize analytics tools to acquire, transform, automate, and analyze data.
• Develop dashboards and reporting for leadership and partners.
• Lead strategic projects focused on digital transformation and continuous improvement.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver tech-driven solutions.
• Evaluate emerging AI and automation capabilities to support objectives.
• Document processes and technical requirements for scalability and controls.
• Drive process innovation to improve customer experience and efficiency.
• Perform root cause analyses and provide data-driven recommendations.
