Job summary

Rayner is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee day-to-day accounting for the US and Canada, delivering accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. You will partner with the Finance Director to manage month-end and year-end closes, deliver analyses, and support business decisions.

You will supervise AR, AP, and treasury activities while supporting tax compliance and global finance initiatives. A CPA/CMA and ERP proficiency are highly valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Experience managing general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury activities, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Experience preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and supporting budgeting and variance analysis.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience leading, developing, and mentoring a finance team

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day accounting operations for US and Canada, ensuring accurate reporting and strong controls.
• Own month-end and year-end close activities with timely reporting.
• Maintain GL integrity, reconciliations, and accounting records for informed decisions.
• Oversee AR, AP, treasury, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and drive process improvements in controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required information.
• Support cross-functional teams with financial information and pricing updates.
• Assist with tax compliance activities and information for statutory filings.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the Finance team to foster accountability and performance.
