The University of Central Florida's Financial Affairs division is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead student financial cashiering services, in-person and email customer support, and the management of campus cash/check collections. • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
• Experience in accounting or financial operations within a higher education or public sector environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing financial reporting and reconciliations in enterprise financial systems such as Oracle PeopleSoft or Workday.
• Experience managing and developing a team of professional staff.

Responsabilidades

• Directs and manages the university's main depository account operations, including high-volume deposits exceeding $600 million annually; provides guidance to personnel on administrative policies and procedures to effectively manage administrative and fiscal operations.
• Hires, trains, coaches, and evaluates staff direct reports.
• Directs and manages the preparation of daily, monthly, and annual financial reports and reconciliations across two financial systems - Oracle PeopleSoft and Workday; evaluates and modifies business processes to adapt to these systems.
• Manages the opening, closing, and operations of university cashiering offices; manages cash, check, and wire deposits and reviews and monitors outstanding deposits to the general ledger; interprets, formulates, and implements operational and UCF policies and procedures.
• Recommends, creates, and implements long- and short-term strategic plan goals and operational plans; analyzes financial functions and makes recommendations for department controls.
• Responds to audit reports and ensures the continuous existence of internal controls to safeguard and protect the university's funds and other assets; serves as liaison among functional areas and departments.
• Interprets and ensures compliance with Florida Statutes, BOG regulations, and UCF policies and regulations; responsible for obtaining and maintaining the required annual certification for Student Account Services with respect to PCI compliance.
