Job summary

The University of Central Florida is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead student financial cashiering services, support in-person and email customer service, and oversee campus cash and check deposits. You will guide a team, develop processes, and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations in a fast-paced university environment.

This role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of experience, with preferred experience in higher education, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting/financial operations experience.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems (PeopleSoft/Workday) preferred.
• Ability to manage and develop a professional staff.
• Strong internal controls and policy compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Direct cashiering operations and financial reporting.
• Lead, hire, train, and evaluate staff.
• Oversee daily, monthly, and annual reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Florida statutes, BO regulations, and PCI compliance requirements.
• Collaborate across departments to improve processes.
