Job summary

Precision BioSciences is seeking a Manager of Accounting to oversee financial statement preparation, SEC reporting, and the close process.

Based in Durham, NC with a primarily remote setup, you will coordinate with external auditors, manage cash and treasury, oversee equity compensation plans, and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across finance activities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of accounting experience, GAAP expertise, and public company exposure; CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business required.
• 5+ years in general accounting; includes 3+ years in public accounting.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and SEC reporting experience; proficient with NetSuite and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead consolidation of financial reports for 10-K, 10-Q, and SEC disclosures.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
• Perform technical accounting analyses and coordinate with external auditors.
• Oversee cash management, treasury, and equity compensation plans.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across processes.
